Awards Committee

The Asian Football Awards (AFA) committee is compiled of individuals with an understanding of a variety of grassroots activities with the Asian in Football market.

Transparency is the key to the AFA, our transparent process involves ensuring that have a awards committee with an understanding of what is going on in the Asians in Football scene with the UK and abroad.

Our focus was to ensure our team has an understanding of the professional game, grassroots and community activities, in addition to understanding the business of football. Our committee members have shown a selfless desire for the success of Asians in Football, and have been actively involved within football.

The awards process will involve ensuring that in addition to public nominations the AFA team actively contacts key individuals and organisations within the game, seeking their nominations. Once this extensive list has been collated, we will compile independent research on the candidates.

During the initial judging period our focus will be to develop a shortlist for each award category. Where our committee will have an opportunity to prepare a final nominees list, before the judging panel decide on the winners of the 1st ever Asian Football Awards.
